Sightsavers is an international organisation working in more than 30 countries to eliminate avoidable blindness and support people with visual impairments to live independently.
We were commissioned by Sightsavers to deliver the UK Fundraising and Activism site. Working closely with the client team, we helped develop the strategy for the site, and extend the existing offline brand into the digital environment, in a fully accessible way. Our work involved the creation of a component-based delivery framework and all elements of project delivery from design to launch.
The strategy behind the site is to keep it small and focused on fundraising and activism. The organisation had never had a dedicated site for this purpose before and internal stakeholder engagement was essential to the project success.
Since the launch of the UK site, we have developed additional components to drive fundraising and to be used for multivariate testing. We have also used the component system to deliver sites for Italy, Sweden and Ireland and created comprehensive digital guidelines for the organisation.
