With a vision for ‘a just world free from poverty’, Comic Relief uses their comedy heritage and the fantastic relationship with the BBC to bring about ‘positive change through the power of entertainment’.
The Grants Management System (GMS) was a major step forward for Comic Relief as an organisation, improving their ability to engage with grant applicants, partners and manage any grant or grant program through its entire lifecycle.
At the heart of the new GMS lay cutting edge semantic knowledge technologies and detailed workflows. Our Managing Director led the project team – a group of like-minded experts in their field – delivering the project management, technical architecture, infrastructure, knowledge modelling, user interface design and decision support systems needed to undertake this project. The ultimate deliverable was, by any definition, a cutting edge collaboration, involving enterprise class software from Microsoft with semantic ontologies designed to learn over time, adding immeasurable value to Comic Relief’s grant activities. Lavish also supported the project team with process mapping charts and form design.
